Hundreds of schoolchildren will enjoy the science lesson of a lifetime next month when Professor Brian Cox visits the island to offer his unique insight into the wonders of the universe. The popular BBC TV presenter, British particle physicist and former member of 90s pop and dance band D:Ream will give a presentation and answer students' questions at the Villa Marina's Royal Hall on Wednesday, July 6. NASA astronauts who crewed the historic final mission of the space shuttle Discovery will be visiting the Isle of Man in July. The six-day trip is a major coup for the Island and reflects its growing importance as a centre of excellence in the space commerce and aerospace engineering sectors. The astronauts will have a packed itinerary, including an appearance at the Tynwald Day ceremony at St Johns on July 5th and a series of talks to local high school students. Read more
