Comet C/2011 M1 (LINEAR) was discovered on the 22nd June, 2011, by the LINEAR survey.
The preliminary orbital elements of the comet indicate a perihelion passage on the 7th Septhember, 2011, at a distance of 0.9 AU from the Sun.
