Rotary club to hold charity balloon race

The Rotary Club of Droitwich Spa is organising a balloon race during this weekends Water Festival to celebrate the opening of the town's canal network.
Balloons will be released from the gazebo in Vines Park from 2pm on Friday (July 1) until the close of the event at 5pm on Sunday. Balloons cost £1.25 each and prizes of £75 and two tickets for the Battle Proms at Ragley Hall on Saturday, August 20 will be awarded to the owners of the two balloons that travel the furthest by August 1.
