Cape Fear High students find asteroid, name it for school

An asteroid discovered in August 2008 by students at Cape Fear High School now carries the school's name.
The Minor Planet Centre, which is responsible for the designation of minor bodies in the solar system, approved naming asteroid 2008 PQ2 the "Capefearrock."
