RAF Fylingdales tracks falling Nasa satellite

A remote airforce base in the North York Moors is at the forefront of international efforts to track an out-of-control climate satellite which is due to crash to Earth later.
RAF Fylingdales is using its giant radar to track the upper atmosphere research satellite (UARS).

RAF Fylingdales is a Royal Air Force station on Snod Hill in the North York Moors, England. Its motto is "Vigilamus" (translates to "We are watching"). It is a radar base and part of the United States-controlled Ballistic Missile Early Warning System (BMEWS).
