On the afternoon of October 13, 1877, a bright daytime fireball and several explosions was witnessed near Aleksinac in Serbia (Yugoslavia). A shower of stony meteorites fell over a wide area. The analysis showed this meteorite to be an LL4 chondrite. The majority of this meteorite sits in museum collections. Read more
