Von Braun Astronomical Society rededicates Monte Sano observatory founded in 1954

During a trip to California's Palomar Observatory around 1954, Dr. Wernher von Braun asked if anyone knew of a large telescope for sale.
Von Braun explained that he and some fellow scientists had recently formed an astronomy club in Huntsville, but they didn't have proper stargazing gear.
