Another famous event was the Boguslavka meteorite fall - the first observed fall of an iron meteorite in Russia. The fall was at 11:45 a.m. on 18 October 1916, the sky was clear and weather was warm. The fall was seen from Vladivostrok to the Han Dao He Tse rail station (475 versts) and accompanied by light and sound phenomena. The fall occurred 200 cubits south of a Korean village (fan-za), and location of the fall was shown by a resident of this fan-za, Ma Tomu Ni. Two masses of 199kg and 57kg fell, H. Backlund (1916; 1917). Analysis, 5.48% Ni. From the shape of the two known masses, it is concluded that a third mass remains to be found. Further analysis, 5.45% Ni, 60.5 ppm Ga, 180 ppm Ge, 24 ppm Ir. Source
