China launches remote-sensing satellite

China successfully launched the remote-sensing satellite Yaogan XII Wednesday from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Centre in the northern Shanxi province, according to a press release from the centre.
The satellite was sent into space aboard a Long March 4B carrier rocket at 11:21 a.m. Beijing Time, according to the centre.

The YaoGan Weixing-12 (YG-12) satellite was launched by a Chang Zheng-4B rocket from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Centre on the 9th November, 2011.
