On the evening of January 7th, 1949, a meteorite shower was observed near Guidder in the Cameroons. Two stones were recovered and presented to the Natural History Museum at Paris. In this paper a general description of the stones, the results of microscopic examinations of thin sections, and chemical analyses of the silicons and metallic phases are given.

The Guidder (LL5) meteorite fell in Nord, Cameroon, on the 7th January, 1949.
A total mass of 968 g was recovered.

9° 55'N, 13° 59'E
