After detonations, a shower of stones (about 40) fell. They were mostly pounded to powder by the villagers, and only two fragments appear to have been preserved. Report, with an analysis, D. Waldie (1869); T. Oldham (1870). Two stones were of about 131b (5.9kg) and 4.51b (2kg) respectively, J. Anderson, letter of 27 November, 1868, in Min. Dept., NHM, London. Most of the stones fell at Saoniod, 28°1'N., 75°49'E, 3 miles N. of Khetri.
