The Day After Tomorrow: Into Infinity (Pilot) - 1975

Between the two seasons of "Space: 1999", Gerry Anderson created a hour long pilot for another proposed series called "The Day After Tomorrow". The concept was canned but released as an NBC TV Special as an episode of the children's educational TV Series - "A Special Treat"
Departing from its original destination, Alpha Centauri, the interstellar science vessel Altares moves deeper into space and her crew of three adults and two children encounter phenomena such as a meteor shower, a red giant star and, finally, a black hole, which pulls the ship into another universe.
