Comet C/2012 C1 (MCNAUGHT) was discovered by Rob H. McNaught (Siding Spring Survey) on the 5th February, 2012,.The preliminary orbital elements of the comet indicate a perihelion passage on the 1st March, 2013, at a distance of 4.6 AU from the Sun.
