A strong earthquake has shaken the Indonesian island of Bali, injuring dozens of people and sending debris crashing into the streets.
The 6.1-magnitude earthquake struck before midday, with its epicentre about 100km to the south-west of Denpasar, Bali's capital.

An earthquake measuring 6.0 on the Richter scale hit Indonesia Sunday night, the Hong Kong Observatory said.
The quake shook Indonesia's Irian Jaya region at 20:17 HK time (1217 GMT) and the epicenter was located near 2.4 degrees South latitude and 136.6 degrees East longitude, about 150 km south- southeast of Biak.

Strong shallow earthquake strikes off E. Indonesia, not potential for tsunami

A powerful shallow quake with a magnitude of 6.9 jolted eastern parts of Indonesia on Monday evening, but there were no initial reports of damages or casualty and a warning for tsunami, officials reported.
The quake struck at 21:31 p.m. Jakarta time (1431 GMT) with epicenter at 178 km southeast Tahuna of North Sulawesi province and with the depth at 10 km under sea bed, an official of the local Meteorology and Geophysics Agency told Xinhua by phone.

Reports from Indonesia say two people have been killed and 160 people are missing after a localised tsunami triggered by Monday's powerful earthquake off the coast of Sumatra.
Dozens of houses were destroyed by waves after the 7.5 magnitude quake, which struck near the Mentawai islands.

A major earthquake has struck off western Sumatra, Indonesian officials say.
A tsunami watch has been issued following the 7.5 magnitude quake near the Mentawi Islands at a depth of 33km (20.5 miles), officials said.
The epicentre was reported to be 244km (152 miles) south of the city of Padang.
