Harvard experts debunk meteorite discovery in Exeter
Officials at the Harvard Mineralogical Museum recently told Exeter resident Aidan Ulery that the meteorites he thought he found on Feb. 29 are actually slag, a by-product of metal smelting that can sometimes appear in concrete. An Exeter man who believes he recovered rocks from a meteorite last week still doesn't know what he found after geology professors at the University of New Hampshire were unable to determine their origin.
