Comet C/2012 F2 (PANSTARRS) was discovered on the 16th March, 2012, by the Pan-STARRS 1 telescope.The orbital elements of the comet indicate a perihelion passage was on the 27th July, 2011, at a distance of 2.42 AU from the Sun.
