Title: The Pollen meteorite, a Norwegian carbonaceous chondrite Authors: Wolff, F. C.
Reports on a small meteorite which fell 6 Apr 1942 in Nordsjona, Norway. The sample weighs 253.6 g, its max dimensions are 7.8x5.3x5 cm; it is polygonal in shape with slightly rounded edges. An X-ray powder pattern shows olivine, antigorite and kamacite. The low specific gravity, presence of chondrules, the non-magnetic character and presence of serpentine suggest a carbonaceous chondrite.
