A meteor streaked over the state capitol Thursday evening.
The event was caught on two cameras pointed skyward. One belongs to the All Sky Camera Network in Mineral Point and the other to the UW-Madison SSEC/AOS.

 Many reports of meteor shower over Milwaukee area

There are multiple reports Thursday of a meteor in the sky over southeast Wisconsin.
The National Weather Service in Milwaukee says they've gotten phone calls and Facebook posts about a bright meteor that streaked across the sky last night.
