This small iron meteorite is one of several witnessed listed iron falls that are presently incompletely classified. Sakauchi itself will remain unclassified as it has been lost.

The Sakauchi (L6) meteorite fell in Chubu, Japan, on the 13th April, 1913.
A total mass of 4.18 kg was recovered.

35° 40'N, 136° 18'E
