The Suizhou meteorite shower occurred on April 15, 1986 in China's Hubei Province. Suizhou is most widely known for containing a mineral never before seen in nature; found in the thin veins of shock melt running through Suizhou is a new high-pressure polymorph of the mineral merrillite. Suizhou also provides some of the best specimens of a "cream matrix with rich black fusion crust" meteorite - an ideal richly evident in this attractive fragment. Source
