The 1999 Bridge Creek - Moore tornado was an extremely powerful F5 tornado which devastated towns just outside of Oklahoma City on May 3, 1999.
As the tornado moved into Oklahoma City, a mobile Doppler weather Radar recorded a gust within the tornado between 452 and 517 km/h, the highest winds ever recorded.
