NGC 3705 (UGC 6498, PGC 35 440) is a barred spiral galaxy (SBab) located in the constellation Leo. The galaxy has an angular size of 4.9' x 2.0' and an apparent magnitude of 11.0.  It was discovered on the 18th January, 1784, by William Herschel.
