Comet 114P/Wiseman-Skiff was discovered by Jennifer Wiseman in January 1987 on two photographic plates that had been taken on December 28, 1986, by Brian A. Skiff of Lowell Observatory. Read more
The first meteor photographed on Mars (on March 7, 2004 by the Spirit rover) is now believed to have been part of a meteor shower whose parent body is comet 114P/Wiseman-Skiff. Because the radiant is in the constellation Cepheus, this meteor shower could be dubbed the Martian "Cepheids". Read more
