Comet P/2012 S2 (La Sagra) was discovered on the 23rd September 2012 by the La Sagra observatory.
The preliminary orbital elements of the comet indicate a perihelion passage was on the 19th August, 2012, at a distance of 1.38 AU from the Sun, and an orbital period of 10.5 years.
