"My team and I came up with a new lab on a chip. It essentially miniaturises an automated sample processing and analysis instrument that could be put aboard future spacecraft and sent to distant planets, moons and asteroids. The Battle Mountain (L6) meteorite fell in Nevada, USA, on the 22nd August, 2012.
A total mass of 1 Kg was recovered.

40° 40' 5"N, 117° 11' 21"W

Spoiler

The meteorite produced a fireball associated with a sonic boom before it hit the ground near Battle Mountain, NV on August 23.
