NGC 7184 (also ESO 601-9, IRAS 21599-2103, MCG -4-52-9, UGCA 425 and PGC 67904) is a magnitude +11.2 spiral galaxy located 120 million light-years away in the constellation Aquarius.
The galaxy was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflector at Datchet, Berkshire, on the 28th October 1783.
His first sweep took place on the evening of 23 October 1783 and five nights later he achieved his first success, discovering the galaxy NGC7184 in the constellation Aquarius. Source
