Turkey's first indigenous high resolution Earth observation satellite Gokturk-2 was launched on Tuesday from China's Jiuquan Satellite Launch Centre and it was successfully put into orbit 686 km above the Earth's surface. Launch of Turkish Satellite on Chinese Long March 2D
A Chinese Long March 2D rocket successfully launched a Turkish satellite called Gokturk-2 into orbit today from the Jiuquan launch centre, China. Launch occurred December 18th 2012 at 16:12 UTC, The satellite was deployed 14 minutes later.
