Many meteorites land in Fort Worth - eventually

A chunk of Mars did most of the traveling, zooming through space as a meteor before being found in Libya in 1998. Old-fashioned horse trading brought it the rest of the way to the Monnig Meteorite Gallery at Texas Christian University.
That small museum opened 10 years ago this month, and I have been intending to visit ever since. Last week's spectacular meteor show over Russia brought it to mind again, so I finally made the journey this week.
