A chunk of Mars did most of the traveling, zooming through space as a meteor before being found in Libya in 1998. Old-fashioned horse trading brought it the rest of the way to the Monnig Meteorite Gallery at Texas Christian University. That small museum opened 10 years ago this month, and I have been intending to visit ever since.
