Soccer-ball-sized meteor burns green in sky over Fort Collins
A soccer-ball-sized meteor that flashed through the night sky above Fort Collins on Sunday was observed by people from Snowmass to Idaho. The meteor exploded through the atmosphere with a northwest trajectory of a few hundred miles starting west of Laramie, Wyo. Its path was derived through observations reported from 20 sources to the American Meteor Society. Read more

Reports are still coming in of a brilliant meteor that streaked through the sky Sunday night over the Wind River Range. County10.com was contacted early Monday asking for confirmation of the sighting, but neither SpaceWeather.com nor the National Weather Service Forecast Office in Riverton had noted the occurrence.
