The detonating meteor of September 5, 1916, as observed at Fort Worth Texas (Lat 32° 43' N. Long. 97° 15' W.) The meteor burst into view at 8:05:50 PM (7h 36m 50s astronomical day) from a point at 48° altitude, and 282° azimuth. It proceeded to a point in altitude 45°, azimuth 266°, were a violent explosion took place.
