The Rŕpita or Peniscola

1916, August 5. St. Carles de la Rapita (Tarragona), Spain. The meteor fell into the sea near Peniscola.
No one has any sample.
"At 14:15 h, showed a bright burst that ran from N. to SW. Leaving a trail of smoke. Within 10 minutes there was a loud bang accompanied by a slight shake. Witnesses saw a fireball falling into the sea near Peniscola (Faura and Sans, op cit.). this meteor had passed over Catalonia and Valencia, as Mr. Pratdesaba, Vich, I saw on the road from this city to Tona, and Dr D. Francisco Camus also from Benicassim (Castellón), a distance of about 280 km Vich. straight. Both observers have described the meteor as having a dazzling luster that drew attention despite having appeared at a bright time in summer. "Paluzie Borrell (p. 39). "The appointment that on that date, and the fourteen fifteen hours, the sailors who were fishing near Peniscola (Castellon) saw a fireball move in the direction N to S, which was to fall into the sea in the vicinity of where they were. there is no sign.
