Title: Title: Earth-grazing fireball: Czechoslovakia, Poland, October 13, 1990, 03h27m16sUT. Authors: Authors: Spurny', P., Ceplecha, Z., & Borovicka, J.
A fast moving fireball of -6 maximum absolute magnitude with extremely long trajectory was photographed at two Czech stations of the European Network. The fireball travelled a 409-km luminous trajectory in 9.8 seconds and the visual trajectory was horizontally orientated at the perigee point given by latitude 50.7° N, longitude 17.4° E and height 98 km. From the initial mass of 40kg, only 370g were ablated. The body attained meteoritic fusion crust, left the atmosphere again and continued its motion in the Solar System in a changed orbit.
