Another big meteor landed six to eight miles north of Cosnino about 9 o'clock Tuesday evening [30 June 1888]. As the great blazing ball of fire neared the Earth, it lit up the surrounding area so one was able to read by its light -- then it crashed and it was over in a final flash.
