July 3. 1725. at Mixbury, a storm of thunder and lightning began about half an hour past 1 in the afternoon, and lasted with intermissions for an hour. About 2, W. Hall, aged above 60, was found dead in a hard gravelly field, with 5 sheep which lay round at about 30 yards distance; but that only which lay nearest him had a visible wound, which was through the head, the ground being torn up near two yards round about it.
