Japanese astronomers name asteroid in honour of Peru

The asteroid formerly known as "1995 SG5" was renamed earlier this month in honour of Peru.
From here forward, the asteroid, which travels between Mars and Jupiter, will be known as "Qoyllurwasi." The name is a combination of the Quechuas words "qoyllur" which means star, and "wasi" which means house.
