NGC 99 (also IRAS 00214+1529, MCG 2-2-6, UGC 230 and PGC 1523) is a magnitude +14.0 spiral galaxy located 244 million light-years away in the constellation Pisces.
The galaxy was discovered by French astronomer Edouard Stephan using a 80.01 cm (31.5 inch) reflector at the Marseille Observatory on the 8th October 1883.
The galaxy is moving away at 5308 km/sec
