NGC 1213 (also IC 1881, UGC 2557, MCG 6-7-45, ZWG 524.58 and PGC 11789) is a magnitude +14.4 spiral galaxy located 158 million light-years away in the constellation of Perseus.
The galaxy was discovered by American astronomer Lewis A. Swift using a 40.6 cm (16 inch) Alvan Clark and Sons refractor at the Warner Observatory, East Avenue, Rochester, New York, on the 14th October 1884.
