NGC 1590 (also PGC 15368, UGC 3071, IRAS04284 0731, MCG 1-12-8, 2ZW 13, GWT or KUG 419.14 0428 075) is a magnitude +13.6 spiral galaxy located 179 million light-years away in the constellation Taurus.
The galaxy was discovered by German astronomer Heinrich Louis d'Arrest using a 27.94 cm (11 inch) f/17.5 refractor at the Copenhagen Observatory on the 28th October 1865.
