NGC 1559 (also ESO 84-10 and PGC 14814) is a magnitude +10.7 barred spiral galaxy located 60 million light-years away in the constellation Reticulum.
The galaxy was discovered by Scottish astronomer James Dunlop using a homemade 9-foot, 22.86 cm (9 inch) f/12 speculum Newtonian reflector at Paramatta, New South Wales, Australia, on the 6th November 1826.
