NGC 2815 (also ESO 497-32, MCG -4-22-6, UGCA 156, AM 0914-232, IRAS09140-2325 and PGC 26157) is a barred spiral galaxy located about 36.577 million parsecs away in the constellation Hydra. The magnitude 12.0 galaxy was discovered by the German-British astronomer William Herschel on the 20th November 1784.
