Comet P/2013 TL117 (Lemmon) was first discovered on October 4, 2013 by the Mount Lemmon Survey and designated as asteroid 2013 TL117. It was rediscovered on the 24 October 2013 and relisted as asteroid 2013 UT2; further observations revealed its cometary nature, and belonging to the .Jupiter cometary family. The preliminary orbital elements of the comet indicate a perihelion passage on the 18th February 2014 at a distance of about 1.1 AU from the Sun, and with a orbital period of 6.8 years.
