NGC 1624 (also Collinder 53, LBN 722, Lund 136 and OCL 403) is a magnitude +11.8 open cluster with nebulosity located 14,954 light-years away in the constellation Perseus.
The cluster was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflecting telescope at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 28th December 1790.
