NGC 2254 (also Lund 234, Collinder 103 and OCL 500) is a magnitude +9.1 open cluster located 7710 light-years away in the constellation Monoceros.
The cluster was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) f/13 speculum reflecting telescope at Clayhall Farm House in Old Windsor, on the 28th December 1785.
