Up to 15 meteors per hour may be observed in late hours of January 8
At present, the Earth is going through a meteor rain which is coming from the constellation of Puppides-Velides. Press secretary of the observatory in Pulkovo (near St. Petersburg) Sergey Smirnov says that the meteors may be seen in the late hours of January 8 and the early hours of January 9 if there are no clouds. On the average, up to 15 meteors may be observed within an hour. Source
