NGC 1707 (also IC 2107) is a magnitude +12.8 group of stars located in the constellation Orion.
The asterism was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) reflector at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 8th January 1828.
The grouping were rediscovered by Guillaume Bigourdan in 1899 and listed as IC 2107.
