NGC 2188 (also ESO 364-37, MCG -6-14-8, AM 0608-340, PGC 18536) is a magnitude +11.7 edge-on barred spiral galaxy located 34 million light-years away in the constellation Columba.
The galaxy was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) reflector at Feldhausen, Claremont, Cape Town, on the 9th January 1836.
