NGC 2265 is a magnitude +10.0 group of stars located 7045 ±326 light-years away in the constellation Gemini.
The asterism was discovered by British astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) reflecting telescope at Windsor Road, Slough, on the 23rd January 1832.
