NGC 4610 (also NGC 4470, IRAS12270 0806, UGC 7627, VCC 1205, MCG 1-32-82 and PGC 41189) is a magnitude +12.2 inclined spiral galaxy located 108 million light-years away in the constellation Virgo.
The galaxy was discovered by Hanoverian-born British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) reflecting telescope at Datchet, Berkshire, on the 23rd January 1784. The galaxy was rediscovered by Herschel in 1785 and relisted as NGC 4470.
