NGC 2269 (als OCL 524) is a magnitude +10.0 open star cluster located 5500 light-years away in the constellation Monoceros.
The cluster was discovered by German-British astronomer William Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) reflecting telescope at Datchet, Berkshire, on the 24th January 1784.
