NGC 2564 (also ESO 562-1, NPM1G -21.0210, CGMW 2-3167 and PGC 23290) is a magnitude +12.5 lenticular galaxy located 233 million light-years away in the constellation Puppis.
The galaxy was discovered by English astronomer John Herschel using a 47.5 cm (18.7 inch) reflecting telescope at Feldhausen, Claremont, Cape Town, on the 28th January 1837.
